The company was founded in 1946 by Konrad und Katharina Russegger in Abtenau, very close to the actual company site in Abtenau. At first the transport of goods and cole was also part of the company´s business. The first vehicle they used for their transports was a remodeled military transmitter truck. They mounted benches on the cargo area. That´s how they did their first rides mainly to Salzburg and the surroundings of the city. In 1949 they got their first „real“ coach. At this time Abtenau was known as a spa resort offering healing drinking water. This attracted people far beyond the province boarders. That´s when they started to pick up people even from Austria´s capital Vienna to bring them to Abtenau. There was also a steady development in toursim in the local area and soon there was additional work like airport transfers and daily excursions to popular destinations like the lake district, the Eagles Nest and King´s Lake in Berchtesgaden, the City of Salzburg or Austria´s   highest mountain - the Großglockner.

In 1976 their son Matthäus took oer the company together with his wife Elisabeth. Within a short time they managed to establish a new company site and extend the coach fleet. Also the kind of business changed. Additional to the local excursions they started to take international visitors to more and more international destinations in countries all over europe. Allready in the mid 70's tourists mainly from ths US wher etaken all over europe. Abtenau developed to a well known skiing Resort in winter. That is when people from mainly skandinavian countries started visiting Abtenau. Since 1993 they have also started to work as a travel agency. Since 1998 a part of the public transport in the lammertal valley has been provied by russegger.

On january 1st in 2006 the family run company was handed to konrad russegger and is now in it's 3rd Generation. Supported by his wife Andrea and their daughter Lana he is taking care of hte business. In 2006 the company site was extended and new garages where built. Konrad extended the internation business and for a few years the business with tourists from Asia (especially Students from China) has been developing very well. With the backhold of 70 Years of experience of Bus tourism, the intention to develop new business fields and our main goal to satisfy our customers we are looking positiv in to the future.
